Welcome!

My name is Artis Moon Amarché.  I am an interdisciplinary healing artist located in Washington, DC.   Photography was my main gig for seven years; I worked as a photojournalistic freelance photographer doing editorial work for local news publications, lifestyle portraits, special events, weddings, performance, fine art photography, and occasional videography.  My focus has shifted over the past number of years to the healing arts and helping people transform their lives. I am honored to integrate my role as healer, musician, dancer, and artist, and love to coalesce various traditional meditation practices with innovation & improvisation.

So, I still love to shoot, & I have recently brought this skill back into my repertoire of services.  Let me know if you’re interested! I am a single mama to three amazing children, ages 10-19, and we live in PG County, MD, a half-mile from the DC line.  My 19-yo daughter is an aspiring filmmaker/photographer as well. My boys are spirited, and we are all artists. We also have my forever-child, my sweet 36-yo brother Pat, living with us; Pat has autism and mental differences.

A DC native, over the past 25+ years, I have lived a rich life as an independent interdisciplinary artist and educator, teaching and performing tap dance & percussion in the U.S. and abroad, producing, choreographing, & directing numerous residencies and performances; teaching visual & language arts; and working as a photographer, writer, & editor.  During this time, I have also worked with a range of mindfulness and meditation disciplines, and am thrilled to be serving my human family through the healing arts. I earned a BFA in Fine Arts​ from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in DC, and hold the following certifications - Usui Reiki Master Teacher, Life Coach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist, Childbirth Educator, Diploma of Advanced Training from the Center for Mind-Body Medicine - and am a trained Yoga Nidra guide.
